Sadhya Style Kootu Curry

Sadhya style kootu curry is delicious,slightly sweet dish that we eat all the specialtime. Anyway, todays how to make sadhya  kootucurry. Let this be the first dish of our Vishudishes.

Ingrediants

1. Peas - 1 cup

2. Elephant Yam cut in to square  - 1 cup

3. Raw Banana cut in to square - 1 cup

4. Shredded Coconut - 1 cup

5. Cumin Seeds - 2 pinches

6. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon

7. Pepper Powder - 2 Teaspoon 

8. Oil-Salt-Mustard - seasoning

9. Black Gram (Urad Dal) - 1 Teaspoon

10. Dry Red Chilly - 3 No

11. Curry Leaves - 1 Stalk

12. Jaggery - 1 Small Piece

13. Shallot - 3  cut in to circles


Preprations

Step 1

    Add groundnuts, a pinch of salt and turmeric powder and bring to boil.

    Cut the ElephantYam and Raw Banana in to small square pieces. 

Step 3

    Remove 5 tablespoons of shredded coconut. Add remaining coconut, cumin seed, and 2 pinches of turmeric powder and grind lightly.

Step 4

    Put the elephant yam and raw banana pieces in the oven and cook with turmeric powder and salt. 

Step 5

    When elephant yam and raw banana are half cooked, add pepper powder and boiled peas, stir and cook covered. 

Step 6

    After cooking add jaggery and stir.

Step 7

    When the water starts to dry well, add salt to taste and mix well.

Step 8

    Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, Black Gram (Urad Dal), dry red chilly and shallots, 5 teaspoon coconut and curry leaves and chop finely.

Step 9

    Once the frying is well done, add one pinch of pepper powder and mix it with the curry. 

Step 10

    So our delicious sadhya special curry is ready.
